I am a mother of one beautiful six year old boy, and I am a Die-hard Oakland A's fan. I was a history and algebra teacher for nine years before my son came into my life, then became a stay-at-home mom. That has been one of my greatest joys.

I know this is a lame list, but I originally was going to skip doing a TT today.  It is going to be very busy.  Since my purse is right next to me, I decided to go ahead and let you know how messy  what is in it.

  1. A black wallet.
  2. A datebook.
  3. A checkbook.
  4. A bank envelope with my chewed gum in it.
  5. A yellow highlighter.
  6. A  pen that my church handed out to all the mothers on Mother’s Day.
  7. A 2008 New Mexico quarter.
  8. Hand Sanitizer.
  9. My new camera.
  10. My Stila makeup.
  11. Orbit White Gum
  12. A bottle of Loreal “Caught Red-Handed” nail polish.
  13. A bottle of White-Out

  5. Cute TT. I hate digging in my purse. I never find what I’m looking for. It always seems like it’s my cell phone when it’s ringing. I’m always calling my purse the black hole. LOL! Happy TT!

  6. Is the quarter for good luck? What do you use the White-Out for? My purse is jam packed, too, but right now I long for the one thing that’s NOT in there — contact lens solution. I have my little plastic lens case, and my glasses, but no solution so I can’t take my lenses out! (Thanks for visiting my TT)

  13. Hey, at least you have a pen that writes…LOL, last year, a few of us emptied our pocketbooks and took pictures. If you ever need a tampon, I am your best bet!!

  30. What if you don’t have a purse or briefcase? Could you do “What’s in your wallet?” Would that make someone more likely to steal it?

  43. Who knows what is at the bottom of mine. Lately, when my purse gets too full, instead of cleaning it out, I just get a different purse out and put the the necessary 3 things in it (wallet, phone, keys) and start filling that one up to!

  45. My purse is a sad sad sad state of affairs… I also carry a tote. (5 things I carry everywhere, but don’t really need to)
    1 - 5 jewellery design/technique magazines
    2 - my Jason’s chequebook - which I cannot sign, since it isn’t even a joint account
    3 - hand-sewn take-out coffee cup cozies that I am trying to sell for my friend Lara
    4 - an 8 page photo spread of my jewellery designs

  46. Chelle, on any given day, my purse contents would probably include a few hundred pesky receipts! Well, I’m exaggerating, but those receipts and wrappers tend to take over my purse!

  47. Love the list! Even though it was a “rushed” list, I found it very interesting. It’s funny how much you can learn about someone by the contests of their purse/pockets/briefcase/etc. My purse has WAY more than 13 things in it, unfortunately!

  48. i could carry a soldier’s duffle bag and it still wouldn’t be big enough! bcz i carry so many books and notebooks with me i always manage to fill a ‘purse’ til its seems are bursting.

    sorry i’m so late getting back to you. my routine is about as stuffed as my book purse umm book bag and full of as much clutter.
