Thursday Thirteen #95 (Thirteen Movies I Have Watched In the Last Few Weeks)

Wednesday, January 30, 2008 1:13 PM

Since the Writer’s Strike, my Blockbuster On-line has been very active. Well, I also have been reading a lot too. :) Here are a few movies I have seen recently (throughout the weeks).

  1. Ocean’s Eleven
  2. Ocean’s Twelve
  3. Ocean’s Thirteen - I missed this in the theater, but before I would watch it on DVD, I had to watch the first two because it had been awhile since I had seen them. They are fun movies, with a great cast.
  4. License to Wed - I did not really care for this one, although I like the two leading actors in it.
  5. Enchanted - LOVED IT! It was so cute.
  6. Ball of Fury - Two hours of my life that I will NEVER get back! STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY!
  7. Intolerable Cruelty - My sister and I had to watch this, after the agony of #6.
  8. 27 Dresses - I really liked this one, but it might be because I have a new “crush” on James Marsden. :)
  9. The Water Horse - It was better than I thought it would be, but go only if you have kids. Haha.
  10. Rush Hour 3I laughed some, but I am happy that I waited to see it on DVD.
  11. StardustI saw this by “accident” at the theaters, and LOVED IT! Santa gave me the DVD for Christmas! Thanks, Daddy, Santa!
  12. The Game Plan - I was not too excited about this, but it was actually very sweet.
  13. Juno - Okay, believe all the hype! This is a FANTASTIC movie! Ellen Page so deserves that Oscar nomination!

  1. I find I have been reading more too, which is a good thing :) Happy TT

  2. Don’t you hate it when you waste a perfectly good 2 hours on garbage? I didn’t thin “Rush Hour 3″ was all that funny either. Happy TT.

  3. A woman after my own heart – not afraid of Chick Flicks and nothing meaningful on the list! I love it.

    SJR

  4. I’ll have to look into 27 dresses…
    Happy TT to you.

  5. That’s a nice selection. You’ve got a taste for oceanic titles! I loved Water Horse. It brought out the child in me. The conclusion made me as happy as every other kid in the theatre. God bless!

  6. I haven’t watched any of the films on your list. The most recent film I’ve seen is PotC: At World’s End. Happy TT.

  7. Great list of movies there, thanks for sharing :)

  8. The only one I have seen is Intolerable Cruelty. I must say, whoever wrote that didn’t like women very much.

You comment about Balls Of Fury is noted. On your say so, I shall stay well away from it!

  9. Yes, Juno was a delight, wasn’t it? I want to see Enchanted, but my niece is 14 and tells me she is waaay too cool for it. (Too cool for McDreamy? How can anyone be too cool for Patrick Dempsey?) Thanks for visiting my TT

  10. Have watched 1,2,3,10,11.
We are both movie addicts, I guess!

  11. Hurray for fun films. Good for you for just having fun. It’s one of the things I admire about you – fun movies, fun books. I tend to get to heady and read too much heavy stuff. You inspire me to have more fun!

    Happy TT!

  12. I love Stardust! I’ve seen several of the others, and WANT to see Juno

  13. I did movies too! :-) Love your list. Enchanted was great.

Thirteen of my favorite Romantic Movies

  14. I’m thinking about breaking my rule about not go to the theater and always waiting for a movie to be available on NetFlix to go see Juno. I’m just dying to know what all the hype is about. LOL

I’ve got 3:10 to Yuma coming from NetFlix next.

    I don’t know why I don’t want to see the Ocean’s movies.

But, I DO know why I don’t want to see “27 Dresses” LOL ;-)

  15. Is enchanted out on video?

  16. James Marsden rocks!! I just love him.

  17. I loved Enchanted too.

I hate those movies like #6. I feel like yelling–I want my time back. Happy TT!

  18. Wow, you sure see alot of movies. You must love popcorn! lol I have been told by 6 people, well now 7, the Juno is an absolutely must see. I think I will. Blessings, Cricket

  19. Stardust is on my Netflix list, and I really want to see Juno. Everyone I know who saw it loved it. Ball of Fury looks like it would be so funny, and I love Christopher Walken, but you’re not the only one who’s told me it was awful. Guess I’ll skip that one.

  20. Many of your movies were at the theater…wow, I don’t get out to the theater much. I too loved Juno. Also, I recently rented Once which is delightful.

  21. Oh…and how about Alison Janney (CJ from West Wing)? She was fabulous (as always) in Juno. And last night Janel Moloney (Donna from West Wing) as on house. Oh where oh where is Bradley Whitford (Josh from West Wing) to complete my trifecta?

  22. I’ve seen NONE of these, ha! But I don’t get much time to watch movies these days. But I must must see 27 dresses — it looks so cute!

  23. I’ve seen a few of those and want to see a few of the others. Great list!

  24. I really really really want to see Juno.

  25. I’m making my list now, thanks!

  26. I’m in the Juno fan club too!

  27. juno was one of the best movies i’ve ever seen!!! that’s only my opinion but…i was amazed at how well written the dialog was. ellen page totally deserves the oscar!! and…i’ve been in love with jason bateman since i was a little girl…and he is still smoking hot!!!
    fun tt!

  28. George Clooney in 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place. Hmmm….

  29. I agree with you License to Wed was such a disappointment!

  30. Very good taste you have. Indeed, Juno is the ultimate. We always do what you did with Ocean’s… watching three movies in a row makes us feel like we are there!

  31. I need to see most of these yet…never get to the Cinema anymore so I have to wait for DVD.
I liked License to Wed, though it had some points that were annoying, maybe because I am a 17 years married gal it was funnier? Who knows.
My TT is up for the week.

  32. Sigh! I’ve only seen 2 of the films on your list. Methinks I need to get out more. LOL
    Hugs and blessings,

  33. I want to see Juno and maybe 27 Dresses because I filled out an online survey about them and they looked interesting. And I do want to see Enchanted. I assume you saw it in the theatre?

    Happy TT!

  34. Great TT!!

I haven’t seen any of those, but there are quite a few I’d like to see.

  35. Now I have to do this one next week. ;)

Great list. Sadly, I thought I’d love Stardust but wasn’t fond of it. I don’t know why. I usually love movies like that.

    Renee

  36. Rush Hour Three was okay. I watched all three of them in a row. I hadn’t seen one or two so I waited until DVD also. Nice TT. Mine is 13 things I can’t stand.

  37. I haven’t been to the theater in ages, the only one of those I’ve seen is Oceans 11, and that was on cable.

  38. I’ve seen Ocean’s 11 and 12 but haven’t seen 13 so it’s on my list of movies to see. Great list! Happy TT

  39. Great list, I need to get some of those watched. Happy TT!

  40. First time visiting your blog…I haven’t seen several of the movies on your list yet, so thanks for sharing your thoughts on them! My kids and I loved Enchanted, too!!! I can’t wait to see Juno, but I need to make some time to get to the theater!!

  41. You HAVE been busy! We’ve been watching hockey most nights, and so our Netflix queue has been growing instead of shrinking. *sigh*

I bet this will be you, come baseball season!

  42. I would love to see “Enchanted” and “27 Dresses”! Believe it or not, I’ve never seen any of the “Ocean’s” movies!

  43. I still need to sit down and watch all the ocean movies, I haven’t seen the last two at all yet. Great List and happy TT

  44. This week has been so crazy, I haven’t had time to give my review… BUT, I went and saw Juno last weekend too! That movie was awesome. I thought of you at the end with the whole baby-adoption thing. Just like in the movie, you were made to be your baby’s Mommy, and such a wonderful one you are too.

  45. I’ve seen only two of those. I want Enchanted on DVD!
Thanks for visiting my fridge TT.
