Thursday Thirteen #58 (Thirteen Reasons Why I Have Not Been Blogging Lately)
Wednesday, May 2, 2007 10:59 AM
My sweet, sweet friends. Please do not go away. I’ll be back soon!
- I have been sick. Yes, I have this stupid cough that is wearing me down. My lungs are not so great, so even getting a common cold can wipe me out for weeks!
- I have been busy. My time is so limited lately. I do not spend as much time on my computer like I used to.
- I have been babysitting. The baby I watch keeps me busy, but she is “oh so cute!”
- I have been lazy. When I do have time, I do not feel like blogging.
- I have nothing to say. My life has not been very “blog worthy” lately. I do not want to bore my friend.
- I have been reading. After all these years, I have been reading the “Harry Potter” books. I have two more to go before the new movie comes out!
- Since I have been sick, I was catching up on my TiVo shows. I have weeks of “saved” shows that I have not watched yet. I am not ready to watch hours of tv at one time.
- My life is changing now and I just do not feel like blogging.
- I have been teaching a lot of piano lessons lately.
- I could use more students. Okay, that is not a reason why I have not been blogging, but see, I cannot think of anything more.
- This is the dumbest TT I have ever done.
- Please don’t go away!
- In the words of my friend, Jay, “That’s all I got!”

Eeeps hope you are feeling better!
Sorry, I can’t accept any of these reason.
Okay, so I guess I really can.
Some of them anyway.
Be sure to have some hot soup and drink plenty of liquids.
How long have you been blogging. We have only been doing it since August 2006 and I must say I am addicted to it. I check blogs several times a day, even though I know noone is posting during the day. Weird, huh? Maybe you just need a small break.

You’re reading Harry Potter! Wooo hooo! The books are way better than the movie. Hey, why don’t you come out and visit and we’ll wait in line together for book #7.

Chelle S.: Thanks! I just got some codine (prescribed, of course), so hopefully I will sleep tonight!
Jay: Ah, it’s nice to be liked!
Ringo: I have been blogging for almost three years. I was addicted too. I still love it, but you’re right, I need a little break.
M: You have been trying to get me to read them for years. I have been reading a book, then watching the movie. You’re so right, the books are so much better! I feel like a kid again when I read them.
My life is boring, too; that’s why I put everything into my fiction! *grin*
I’d hire you for piano lessons, but I don’t think you’re close enough to me. And I need you healthy; my lungs aren’t so great, either, sad to say.
Happy TT! Always nice to see you’ve dropped in!
Thanks for stopping by! We like this TT, and Mom giggled at 12 and 13!
Blogging every day takes a creative effort. You need rest from it just like you would from any other project…and if you’re sick, definitely take time to pamper yourself!! (Books, TiVO…now all you need is a nice-looking man to feed you apple slices, bring you endless cups of tea, and give you foot rubs.)
I hope you are feeling better soon. Though it’s nice to be able to get caught up on your reading and TV shows.

Hope you feel better soon. I can understand the break from blogging, sometimes it can feel like you have to do it, when you don’t want to, the guilt thing…. our minds need different things at different times.
Aw, I didn’t think this TT was dumb at all! I got a kick out of picturing someone hibernating away with all the HP books at once. And you sound very busy!

Hey… We ALL have weeks like this and considering it’s your 58th TT, it’s amazing you still can come up with new ideas
Your TT isn’t dumb. I go through phases where I don’t blog much either, for many of the same reasons you listed here.
Thanks for visiting my TT.
I’ve been on sort of a hiatus too these days. you’re right about having blogworthy stuff, i sometimes think that if i bother blogging about my boring daily life, who would want to read my crap? so then i don’t blog. and then stuff comes up and i end up blogging again all day and all night. it’s a vicious cycle. but you’re good! everyone has to take a break! happy tt!!
Susan: I would love to be able to write books too. What a talent!
The Meezer Gang: Thanks for making me feel better about my TT today!
Laughing Muse: Where’s that man?
Christine: Thank you for the well-wishes! The doctor gave me some codine, so I am hoping I will get some sleep tonight!
Jen: Thank you. You also make me feel better! I will have something blog worthy soon!
Dew: Thank you! Can you imagine this “adult” loving HP as much as the kids?
Wylie: I am running out of ideas, so I am going to “steal” them from all of you!
L-Squared: I am glad there are others out there like me.
Christieo: Thank you for your encouragement!
((((Chelle))))) I won’t ditch ya, even if you begged us too…
I hope you get some more students…too bad we’re like 10 hours + apart or I’d get ya to give lessons to my 2….
First of all: I hope you feel better soon!
And second: no need to apologize! This is your blog and you can blog whenever you feel like it. I don’t agree with #11; you’ve taken the time to let us know, so thanks for sharing.
Don’t stop blogging! Take a break but get back on the saddle! Do you hear me? Sorry, the military ordering around just took over that minute!
Mary: Ah, thanks! You’re so kind and it is nice to have friends you know will always be there for you!
Tink: Thanks, I was able to sleep pretty well last night. The only thing is that I wish I could still be sleeping! Haha!
Gracey: Take some advice from a student of mine? You betch!
we all need a break now and again, get the creative juices flowing. Though it is spring, spring calls
It’s a blogger rut. I noticed it with most bloggers last Spring too. Don’t worry. You’re stuck with us. We’ll be waiting for when you’re healthy and motivated again. ((HUG))
Sparky Duck: Maybe that is what I need…a run through the park on a nice Spring day!
Tink: I can always count on you. Tink!
I feel your pain. I’ve been slacking lately, barely managing to post each day, and what is there is pretty lame. When in doubt, I post pictures. They’re easy, and I have enough to last a lifetime of blogging.
Hope you feel better soon!
Happy Thursday!
I hope you feel better soon…we’ve got the coughs/colds/sniffles around here and they’ve hung on forever!
Blog when you can. Life comes first.
