About Me
Name: Chelle Y.

I am a mother of one beautiful six year old boy, and I am a Die-hard Oakland A's fan. I was a history and algebra teacher for nine years before my son came into my life, then became a stay-at-home mom. That has been one of my greatest joys.

I love to play the piano and now I teach other children how to play piano too.

Thursday Thirteen #46 (Thirteen Things You Might Not Know About Me)

Thursday, February 1, 2007 12:06 AM

Get ready for another boring post…. :)

  1. I am deathly afraid of heights (but I do not mind flying in an airplane or rollercoasters)
  2. I HATE coffee, but I go to Starbucks, order a hot apple cider and pretend it is coffee. Yes I am weird!
  3. I am a shy person but I fake it and talk to everyone I meet.
  4. I cannot swim and am afraid of the ocean or lake.
  5. I am a very picky eater. I will say that I do not like something, even though I have never tried it. I have been “guilty” by even saying that I was allergic, just to get out of “trying” it!
  6. I am a very impatient person. I am really working on it. It is not a great quality when you are a mother of a six year old little boy. :)
  7. I love chocolate. It makes me happy!
  8. I get too involved with some of my favorite shows that I forget those “people” are really actors and may not be as nice as the characters they play. I am a dork!
  9. I love to read.
  10. I have a short attention span. I was never diagnosed with ADD but sometimes I think I may…..hey, I love your outfit! :)
  11. I care what people think about me even though I pretend I don’t and I even hate it when the people I do not really like, do not like me. (Yep, I told you I was weird! )
  12. I love to laugh. Who doesn’t?
  13. I hate feet but I love to go and get pedicures!

  1. I don’t hate coffee, but most of my ordering at Starbucks and the like is for hot chocolates. :P I am shy, but I can’t fake it… Terribly self-conscious.

Love to laugh too! Great list!

  2. looks like we have somethings in common… like #2 4 5 6 7

  3. Not boring at all! I’m with you on a lot of your list (eating chocolate right now!).
Thanks for visiting muy music TT!

  4. I do the same thing with the coffee bit. I hate it too but I’ll go to Starbucks and order a hot chocolate and act like I’m drinking coffee. We’re both weird…..you’re not alone in the world! :)

  5. Your #2 makes me smile. Thanks for the visit

  6. Love chocolate and reading too! Can’t do roller coasters though!

  7. Well, not … tooooooooo weird. LOL

I hate coffee too, but love bookstores/coffee shop combinations. I always have something like vanilla bean frap or vanilla creme if it’s cold outside.

  8. Suki: Good, I am not the only person who does the coffee “weird” thing. Let’s go to Starbucks sometime. ;)

JO: It we get impatient, let’s just get some chocolate! :)

Tink: Thanks. It’s nice to know that even if I think I am boring, other people may not! ;)

Gracey: You are becomeing more like your “old” teacher! Yay, for you! Haha1

Friday’s Child: :) Happy to make you smile!

Amanda: Reading with chocolate nearby? Now, that sounds like fun!

Jay: You’re one to talk! Haha! I love the vanilla bean fraps, especially when I add caramel drip with it!

  9. I am a big fan of feet from way back. Don’t get into pedicures though. Must be a girl thing. Thanks for stopping by my Thursday Thirteen #28 about My 13 Trigger Foods. I appreciate the comments.

  10. Chelle hear hear on #11 — I do that too and feel so silly when I catch myself but I can’t help it - crazy!! thanks for letting me know Starbucks had hot cider - I had no idea - yumm!!!! happy TT :)

  11. I’m the same way as #11. Why do we do that to ourselves? Crazy.

    I love these lists.

  12. Whoa… Are you me?

    Happy TT!

  13. Dane: Try a pedicure! They are so relaxing! :)

Susan: Starbucks has great cider, especially when you add caramel to it!

Kell: I know! I wish I was not like that!

Susan: You mean I have a twin!?! :)

  14. I’m not afraid of heights, but I won’t get too close to the edge. I AM afraid of falling. On hikes and stuff my wife can just walk up to a ledge, and I can only do it by crawling on my belly.

Great list. It’s what T13 is all about. Spilling our guts of all the chaff so other people can read it.

  15. Who doesn’t like chocolate??

  16. Hey, I didn’t realize you had to pretend you’re drinking coffee…I’ve just been ordering my chai tea latte and loving it! (I hate coffee too!)
