Thursday Thirteen #119 (Then and Now)
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 9:58 AM
It is amazing how our taste in things change the older we get. I decided that I was going to list thirteen things that I liked when I was a teenager and thirteen things I like now. Who knows, I might have not changed too much.
- Favorite Color ~ Purple / Blue
- Favorite Fast Food ~ McDonalds / Wendys
- Favorite Movie ~ “The Karate Kid” / “The Bourne Series”
- Favorite Actor ~ C. T. Howell (watching him now, I realize how horrible an actor he really was) / Will Smith.
- Favorite Food ~ Pizza / Pasta (any kind)
- Favorite Actress ~ Lea Thompson (she was a pretty bad actress too). / Rachel McAdams
- Favorite Book ~ The Outsiders / Harry Potter Series
- Favorite Activity ~ Amusement Parks / Sleep!
- Favorite Hobby ~ Reading / Reading
- Favorite Television Show ~ Growing Pains / House
- Favorite Candy Bar ~ Snickers / Peanut M&Ms
- Favorite Animal ~ Koalas / Koalas
- Favorite Little Boy ~ Timmy (an adorable, little boy I used to babysit, who is now twenty-four)! / MY SON, BRENDAN!!

Great idea for TT! Mine’s up too hope you can drop by… Happy TT!
Isn’t it interesting to see how much (or little) we change over time? My hobby hasn’t changed too, and it’s the same as yours!
My TT is about Luxembourg.
Good to see a constant in reading
I could have written this list…well, some of them. Purple. karate kid…wax on wax off…pizza, Lea Thompson? Isn’t she the one in Nanny McPhee…loved that movie.
Mine’s posted. Come by if you can find time.
I shared your interests and tastes when I was younger. Fun list. You rang some bells for me.
Looks like you have quite few differences! I like this idea! Neat to see how you’ve changed over the years. Happy TT
This is such a good idea - the Then and Now list.
Wouldn’t it be fun to update it every ten years or so?
And to start on for your son - maybe fill it in on his birthday?
Love this TT!

Great list…Happy TT:)
House is my fave tv show too.. loved your list, i think you are younger than i am
happy TT!
What a fun idea. Koalas are forever!
Love your list, but I don’t think C. Thomas Howell and Lea Thompson are all that bad. It’s funny how taste change.
Very cool TT!!!
Awesome TT, I might have to steal this idea later… By the way I love your blog theme, so cute!
I love McDonalds.

Great idea! Mine would be a LOT different, lol. I didn’t like reading until I was a teenager, but I found some great books and that hooked me, and I’m still hooked.
Isn’t it so funny how things change?? My favorite one was the fave activity being sleep…Coming from a sleep-deprived mom, I’d have to agree!! Happy t13!!
Reading would be a constant in my list too. Happy TT.
I think I would still say The Outsiders was better than Harry Potter, just my opinion maybe…Great TT idea, and thanks for stopping by mine.
I thought “amusement parks/ sleep” was hilarious but oh so true. Parents of toddlers don’t seem to crave excitement the way they did just a few years earlier.
This was a neat idea for a TT. I might have to use it one day.
I loved C.T.Howell too, I don’t think he was that bad of an actor though. I would love to see him in something today. He was on some type of reality magic show not too long ago.
#8 made me laugh. I think that happens to all of us as we get older.
I will not tolerate anything bad being said about Lea Thompson. Ok, so maybe she really wasn’t very good.
I so enjoyed your list. It is amazing how we change.
How fun! We have a ton in common. Purple, Will Smith, The Outsiders, Wendys, and on and on…
This was a great idea for Thursday Thirteen. You always come through with something great.
Newbie - I like that comparison! Maybe I should try that next week. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
