Thursday Thirteen #109 (Thirteen Things Wonderful Things About Being A Mom)
Wednesday, May 14, 2008 8:58 AM
- The words, “I love you, Mommy!” are some of the sweetest you will ever hear.
- The smile he gives you when he wakes up in the morning.
- The “baby kisses” he gave you when he was really little.
- The “reluctant kisses” that he gives you now.
- The pictures and crafts that he gives you.
- The big bear hugs.
- The fun stories he tells.
- Hearing him say, “Thank you, Mommy” when you do something special for him.
- Cuddling up together, while watching his favorite movies.
- Hearing him pray.
- Watching him play his favorite sport, soccer.
- Watching him help his “handicapped” mom with things around the house.
- Knowing that he is a gift from God, and being thankful for him every day.

My son doesn’t use the word love much. Mostly I get, “Mama, I like you.” But he does give nice hugs. Happy TT.
I’m not a mother, just to my cats and dogs!

After a break I’m back with my #80: tv-series from the 80’s!
Happy TT!
This is lovely! Esp. this photo! You two look like you love each other very much. (Happy belated Mother’s Day, and thanks for visiting my TT)
What a sweet list. Children are wonderful before the age of ten aren’t they?
I love the picture! How nice!! And what a sweet list- especially #1.
Beautiful list and picture. Kids are a gift. I love snuggling with my 3 1/2 year old but she is getting to the age where she won’t let mom give her kisses all the time. She is always on the go. LOL!! Happy TT.
This is such a lovely list, and a terrific photo to go with it

So sweet!
This is a great photo and a nice list. My son is only 8 weeks old but he does “talk” to me and smile alot
My Daughter (3) is challenging at moment as she is adjusting to no longer being the centre of the universe LOL.
I would add one more to the list “watching them sleep”
Isn’t being a mom great! Happy TT
Oh, Chelle, I SO needed this reminder! I’ve had a rough two days with my oldest and the school bus and not knowing the wisest course of action.
Thank you.
Sweet post. It’s true, there is nothing like being a Mum
All I can say is, “Exactly!”
Thanks for the great reminders.
I totally agree, especially the cuddling. Happy T13!
Even I think this is a sweet list.
No 2 — I love, love, love No. 2
Children are wonderful……what a handsome son you have.
Perfect! There’s nothing like being a mom!!! Great list!
My very 1st T13 is up!
Yup. Our paycheck isn’t with money, but with their little sweet things they give us every day. Just like you said. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a wonderful Thursday!
As a Dad, I’ve noticed we get some of that, too
Marvellous.
Kid hugs are the best, aren’t they?
Great list!!
Great reminders! And it just gets better as they get older and become people you enjoy spending time with.
What a heartwarming list! Happy TT!

I have one who’s still giving me baby kisses and one who’s in the reluctant kiss stage. They grow up way too fast!
Great list. Happy T13.
A lovely thirteen and a very handsome boy. God bless you and your family.

What a great post and taking me down memory lane. My younguns are about your age. Now it’s the grandbabies.
Very cool list! Thanks for sharing! I espcially liked #’s 1, 3 and 9!
Great list. Happy TT!!
That’s a wonderful list. My little guy is 6′5″ and 17 years old, but I still love hearing all those things from him!

How fun to see a photo of you and your son! He’s really wonderful! I’m delighted that you have him - and more delighted that you enjoy him. See! Your grandmother lives on!
Happy TT!

So true! You both look very happy
Excellent list, but so hard to stop at just 13 isn’t it?
Happy TT, hope you’ll visit my 32nd TT…Housework, Quoth the Mama, Nevermore at The Cafe.
He’s a good looking boy, and polite too! Happy TT and thanks for the visit.
I LOVED your heartwarming TT! Having three kids (now grown), I totally relate…and now I hope to rediscover some of these things with my adorable little grandson.
Stop by my TT when you can!
What a tender TT, I love reading things like this
Thank you!
It was his Momma’s love that made him into the sweet boy that he is. You two are so well matched. It’s touching.
You can see how loved he feels, just by looking at his face.
you are so blessed! it is wonderful that you know it.
glad you enjoyed the silly book title list at my TT. that BTW came from an email fwd–an eleven page, 10pt font, single spaced attachment sent to me about four years ago by my sister who, when it was sent to her, remembered how we three sibs as kids would make up these hilarious author/title combos on road trips.
